because we are better then they are
The Geneva convention only applies to uniformed soldiers fighting for a recognized army. The point of the Geneva convention was to prevent espionage and the kind of terrorism we are fighting.

Lets also bear in mind that what we do to them has NO impact on what they do to us. If they fliet us in a skillet, it will not be because we deprived them of sleep or took their Qu'ran away. They started the beheading long ago, as it is strictly maindated within their religious texts.
That being said, we will need to stop this behaviour because it is immoral...plain and simple. There is nothing you can do about them only how you choose to operate. We cannot change that. We cannot negotiate anything different with them. These are the facts of the ground and they are unchanging. This is a new paradigm in warfare for us. These are not sanctioned combatants of a soverign enemy state, so they are not POWs. They are enemies of our State with no soverign support of backing (well, not publically acknowledged). Therefore they are just enemy combatants. This has allowed many to think there is an excuse to NOT implement the Laws of War pertaining to these individuals and therefore a green light to act how we want.
I say it gives us an OPPORTUNITY to demonstrate our civility and humanity by treating them like humans irregardless of the depths of depravity they choose to sink to. They can act like animals all they want. Unlike them, we have abandoned out knuckle-dragging ways in order to walk upright...lets not reverse that.

i see your factor, that is not precise to torture our enemies subsequently they made the geneva convention and regardless of else. i don't care too lots for it or against it. i'm not the guy who does it. i'm guessing you desire to have study that article approximately Bush permitting torture acts on the enemy via slamming their heads on the wall with leather-based straps on their necks, or water-boarding? and that Bush stated it became to not observe to us because of the fact the Geneva convention says we are able to not do it to infantrymen and would not say something approximately terrorist? a terrorist isn't a soldier. very authentic, my question is why is it ok for them (the terrorist) to torture us via blowing up our homes and killing harmless human beings? they don't care approximately human rights, they'd not care approximately you and that they DONT! Did you hear touching directly to the U.S. military Seal that have been given caught via the terrorists, and that they skinned him alive? all we are doing, no remember if it fairly is suited or incorrect and decrease than what ideals you have, is tryin to get to the appropriate of the totem pole so we are able to offer up it.

Is there any reason why the US shouldn't become as bad as the enemy? You're honestly asking that question? Wow. You're a nutter.

I don't see a blurred line here, and if you re-read your question with objectivity, neither do you. Obviously there is a line here, and you've stated 2 things here that we would never do. There's also the question of motive, and for the life of me, I cannot understand why Liberals cannot see that non-lethal interrogation techniques to save lives is very different from the tactics of the terrorists.

Torture is absolutely NOT ok, and the filth attempting to "defend" it have no right to be alive.
There is no logic or rationale which justifies the torture of a human being, and to do so buys into the "Hitler/Jews are trash" ideology.
The neanderthals having orgasms over the prospect of torturing other people truly believe that those they are torturing are "less than human."
I assure you they are not.

because America would Rather blur the line of torture, so that we can deny it and condemn it when another group of terrorists commit these crimes to our own soldiers!!!!
the logic being..... it's only a crime when they do it, not when we do it!!!!

because you run the risk of becoming the enemy.
That isn't America....and that isn't what our soldiers fought and died for.
There is no blur in the line....only those who refuse to admit they've crossed the line. Torture is wrong...PERIOD.

If you shoot them in the head before they become POW's then you don't have to worry about us torturing anyone now do you? Using your logic. Why even take prisoner if we have to worry about how we treat those that kill us.

I'd take this a bit further. If torture is okay, then we have no right to get upset at the beheadings. It's either okay for everyone or wrong for everyone.
