Santa and Mrs. Clause were having their traditional Christmas eve SPAGHETTI dinner. Mrs. Clause liked it because the red color of the sauce was so seasonal, and Santa loved it because it ensured he would not be hungry before he got back. The trip was such a DRAIN on him, but this meal, with the sauce done to PERFECTION, was very satisfying and enabled him to withstand the effects of the arduous trip.

He would be putting his Santa suit on after the meal, but for now he was wearing the nice IZOD shirt Mrs. Clause had given him for Christmas. You know the type, with the ALLIGATOR logo on the sleeve.

Mrs. Clause had prepared some LEMONADE also but Santa had declined that beverage. Laughing he said 'HUMBUG, Dear, I need to be nice and warm on my trip. Break out the Asti-Spumanti. Lemonade doesn't go too well with spaghetti anyway." Mrs. Clause then poured them each a glass and they enjoyed their meal heartily.

Mrs. Clause monitored Santa's consumption to ensure there was not another sleigh accident as happened many years ago. She poured him a few glasses before finally telling him that she was saving the rest for when he got back and they had their "time alone." Santa said, "Dear, you are such an impish elf. I will rush to get back here as soon as I can."

She then helpted him dressed, walked him to the sleigh, kissed him on the cheek, and sent him on his way. Returning to the house, she went directly to her closet to get the lovely nightie Santa loved so much with the jingle bells and the elf shoes. After all, she wanted to be ready to give him his present as soon as he got back.

The alligator finished up his spaghetti dinner, and drained his lemonade on Christmas eve. He thought of dessert next, and imagined that eating the cookies he had left out for Santa would be perfection. Then his mind wandered on to potentially eating Santa himself. "No", thought the alligator, "I mustn't ruin Christmas for all the children in the world by being such a Humbug." His restraint paid off - next morning he found the Ski-Doo he wanted right underneath his tree.

One day Santa and Mrs. Claus were sitting down eating spaghetti and drinking lemonade. Santa said, "Mrs. Claus, this is perfection!" You are such a great cook! As Mrs. Claus got up and poured her drink down the drain, she thought to herself, "Humbug." She was tired of cooking and cleaning for Santa while he spent too much time with the elves and the reindeer. She just wished an alligator would come eat him.
