I am currently attending Penn State University. Lehigh Valley campus. I am majoring in Chemistry, but I plan to transfer to Temple University and major in pre-pharmacy By the end of the fall semester, I will have a GPA of 2.95-3.17. I pay attention, work hard, never was late or missed a class, but I can't make A's.

What can I do to improve my grades?

Make good use of campus tutors and perhaps meet with academic advisors....maybe your course load isn’t well balanced. I know when I first started out I made sure to take 2 easy A courses and 2 hard courses just so things were a little lighter on me. Now I just need at least one easy A course.

I make A's at main campus, so you can at lehigh. Just continue doing what you're doing, and maybe take one semester of all easy classes at once and ace the hell out of em, that'll bring the GPA up (and rest your overworked brain a bit). Furthermore, a 3.0 is still pretty good. Transfering to Temple from PSU with a 3.0 in chem into pharmacy should be a breeze (just keep it at or above a 3.0, none of this 2.8-2.9 BS)

That's not terribly bad. Take a summer school class.
Do every extra credit opportunity.
If you have a choice, always do the work for the A.
Have someone proofread / edit your work.
Spend an hour a day per class reading or reviewing notes.
Maybe you are taking too heavy a load.
Talk to an advisor and ask them those questions.
Good Luck!

have you ever had to much to eat? if you have, then you understand the effect. After over eating you have to give your body a break.. the same goes for the brain.. give it a break.. you are not a genius..don't try to be one.. just be the best you that you possibly can.. don't overload the brain.. if you do it will kick back at you.. don't over stuff it and push it to much.. study what you need to study.. and do it as much as you feel the need..but don't over do it.. you can make the A's if you give your brain enough room to think.. give it a break.. you will be amazed how it will help you.. the brain is the greatest calculator in the world.. but it needs time to sort the information and put it in the right order for total recall.. give it a break and let it catch up.. good luck

surely particular to OSU, and probably even a small scholarship. you will be able to get into Miami, yet surely no scholarship there (different than the Ohio Resident scholarship.) I graduated from MU in 2005; I had a 4.0 GPA and a 32 on the ACT. i did no longer get carry of an entire scholarship from MU.

You won't get into pharmacy with a sub 3.0 GPA. Many schools use that as a minimum GPA.

Complain to your Democrat Senator and Congressman. They should be able to level the playing field for you. It obviously is not fair that your are trying so hard yet not getting A's. They should get the school to lower the grades required for A's or make the classes easier. Another option is identifying those students who have consistently scored very well in High School and on their SATs. They obviously inherited their intelligence from their parents and should be handicapped as they didn't earn their IQs. Good Luck

Extracurricular activities, and get an internship. Grades don't mean everything. It means a lot more if you show motivation by trying to put yourself ahead of other candidates by doing things such as getting internships, licenses, ect.

YES YOU CAN!! You can even get into a nursing program (in my area at least) with a 2.75, so don't give up. Chemistry and pharma are hard - really hard. So cut yourself some slack....
Happy Holidays
