I don't even know the correct term for the product :) It should be a DVD player that can record television shows into its built-in hard disk (and onto a DVD too).

They're called DVR's. Panasonic makes some very good models. I have one but it doesn't have the hard drive, it records onto removable read/write dvds. Easy to use and program.
Also, make sure it has a HDMI port. Most do now anyway.
HDMI is very close to High Definition quality for DVDs.

Make sure the unit you get has a large enough hard drive. I've seen some brag about 80 hours of programming on the HD but thats at the lowest quality setting.
Good Luck, you'll love it. No rewinding and the fast forward/back is incredibly fast.

They used to have a DVD recorder with built-in Hard Disk before but it's discontinued.

You can either get a TiVo or a DVD recorder for your TV instead.

solid to confirm an previous face, I had approximately forgotten which you have been in my contacts (used to apply my %, a guy in a black blouse in case you undergo in concepts) I guess it would be hard to locate, yet returned interior the 80s I undergo in concepts observing a television sequence based on the classic action picture "conflict of the Worlds" and the sequence had the same call, it grew to become into incredibly cool. It grew to become into basically on late at night, i grew to become right into a baby and might watch it on the sneak, i might have only somewhat been an adolescent whilst i might watch it, it must be hard to locate. i individually loved the unique black and white Twilight Zone I even have 2 DVD field gadgets of them. I loved all the celeb treks, unique, next gen, deep area 9,Voyager,company, all solid. i may be a geek for announcing this, yet i individually loved "Angel" the spin off of buffy the Vampire Slayer, no longer as massive of prepared on the unique buffy in spite of the undeniable fact that it had its moments. i do no longer likely get into television the way I did interior the previous, I even have been out of the loop by using fact the early 2000s so a techniques as somewhat taking section in a television sequence, do no longer understand lots on the subject of the cord so i'm only announcing off the best of My head what i like. I even tend to love shows that do no longer make it long, I loved "the Tick" (the two the lively and version with actors) and that i've got been given a sprint into shows like "johny 0" that by no ability made it previous the 1st season. Edit: Oh, while you're comfortable with observing a sketch, Daria grew to become into great, my pal has the completed sequence on DVD, we'd watch it and reminisce on the subject of the 90s and early 2000s
