What happens when you go to court for your first misdomeanor offense in GA? It is for loiterring and concealed weapon. It is his first offense. When he got arrested he got out on bond and now goes to his forst court date soon. WE are both clueless as to how all of this works.

The charge that was recieed for it was a misdomenor. That is what is stated. The gun was not concealed on him it was in the car and on the seat. In full view, half of it was under his leg.

What happens if he pleads guilty at his arrianment? we cannot afford a lawyer any help would be grealty appreciated

Your first court date will be an arrainment and he will be read his charges and put in a plea and told he has the right to counsel and it will be bond over. Get a lawyer.

I'll take your word that carrying a concealed weapon is a misdemeanor in Georgia, but it certainly seems like a serious offense. At a minimum, you should consult with a lawyer before the hearing, even if only to ask for advice about whether you need counsel at the hearing itself.
