Escorting? You mean like the cars with lights on the roof that escort over sized loads on the freeway? No, it's perfectly legal.
So is being an escort who goes out to dinner etc with a guy for money - but if you don;t have sex with him you'll not get any more work from the agency because he'll complain, and if you do have sex with him it's prostitution, which IS illegal.

Yes it is escorting is technically illegal in mostly all the states except some counties in Nevada, its a form of prostitution
