I know that they can live for about 13 years but I would like to to know when they are all grown up. Is it 5 years? 6 years? Or maybe even seven years?

Females mature at about two years old, males around five.

Lions can actually live to be over 20 in captivity. They reach sexual maturity at around 2-3 years, which is when young males leave their natal pride, however they are not fully grown at this age and do not have a fully developed mane. They will spend several years wandering as nomads, and it not until they are between 5 and 6 years old that they reach their full size and are large and strong enough to challenge an established male or males for a pride, by which time the mane has developed fully (though it will darken from the back forward as the animal ages).
