who has to win/lose?

basically they need the Browns, and Titans to lose.
they can still beat out the chargers if the chargers lose 3 and the broncos win 3, the bronocs plays the chargers once so that can be the most important game. a bronco loss and a charger win will clinch the AFC West for the Chargers
the Jags are up 3 games with the tie breaker over the Broncos so they cant catch them, the browns up 2 games and the Titans up 1 game but the Broncos hold the tie breaker against them.
so basically it comes down to the browns losing and they have the bills, bengals, and niners....i dont think your team will make it.

The Broncos currently are sitting at 6-7 and second place in the AFC West, two games behind the Chargers with 3 games left to play. To answer your question, the Broncos first, must win the remaining 3 games to have a shot at the playoffs but even then they will need some help from other teams. If they beat Houston, San Diego and Minnesota then they would still need San Deigo to lose thier other two games (Oakland and Detroit) in order to win the division and make the playoffs.
If this does not work out it is also possible for them to make the playoffs as a wild card. To do this they would still need to win their remaining 3 games and hope that both Tennessee and Buffalo both lose one of theirs and Cleveland loses two.

Well, realistically they can't, but mathematically they have to win the remainder of their games. Have San Deigo finish at 8-8. So Denver would win the AFC West. They could also have the Browns finish at 8-8 and the Bills finish at 9-7, then Denver would sneak in as the 6th seed, holding the tiebreaker over Buffalo.

First and foremost they would have to win out and go 9-7. Even if that happens, they would need major help from several other teams to get to the playoffs. That OT loss to the Bears really screwed up their playoff chances. I'd like to see them finish 9-7 but has little to no hope of them getting into the playoffs.
