That can go either way, good or bad.

If it is good then I more than likely smile.

If it is bad then I more than likely stare off into space in awe.

Philosophically, this is where I have tended to judge a book by its cover. I should not do that but it begs the question why did they put a cover on the book if they did not want you to judge it by that cover? I think you have to admit that you judge things by what you see and what you hope to see and hope for the best.

The answer is react as best I can given the outcome.

Happy Birthday.

Become very unhappy; even depressed.
It is a terrible feeling when someone has conned one; lied to one. I would feel most betrayed due to this person.
I would hope that the person would come clean--fill me in on all the details--AND give me a very good reason why he felt the deception was necessary.
Then, I'd need to make a huge decision, regarding whether or not this person should be in my life at all...even as a friend.

They never are, so be ready for it. It is the being with someone even though they are not who you thought they were that matters. Can you stand who they are? If not boogie on but sometimes getting a deeper look at the person is a good thing.

Thats when you realize your thoughts about S/he was wrong and you try to figure out why you made that mistake and hope to not make it again.

I wonder: Am I still the same person that he knew me as before? And why is it that I never noticed these traits before?

That cliche saying: "Love is Blind" has some truth to it. Because each person projects what we want in the opposite sex onto someone that we think we love. And if we marry that person, we start to see the traits that we were blind to before.

If you cant learn to asjust to how this person truly is, then move on. However, in my opinion - they'd have to be a right a** hole for it to really bother me as I feel I have high standards
