Space (or the universe) does have an end, and is finite, or so most astronomers and physicists think.
If you look out into space you are essentially looking back in time, the further you look away from earth, the further back in time you look. This is due to the speed of light being limited and the distances being so great that the light has taken as long as the universe has existed to get to us (about 13.7 billion years!).
What we also see is that the universe is expanding and that means the further we look out the faster the universe is moving away from us. This causes a phenomenon called Doppler shift (similar to the sound changing on a horn as train passes you, but with light rather than sound). The Doppler shift for light moving away from us is called a red shift and light from the very edge of the universe (and the very beginning of time) has shifted so far that it is no longer in the visible spectrum, it has become infra red light and then microwave light. But we can still see it with radio telescopes and when we look using these instruments we see back in time (almost) to when the universe was formed by the "big bang" at that time all the universe was a single point called a singularity.
So in fact the big bang theory (the most accepted theory of the universe) states that the universe is finite and growing larger constantly. The theory states that the universe started with a single infinitely small point and in a sudden explosion of energy and matter has grown to its present size in about 13.7 billion years. Scientists estimate the current diameter of the sphere comprising the universe to be 156 Billion Light-years!

Space it all depens on what you mean space. 99% of the space in the universe is dark matter which has an effect on gravity. In the beginning the stars were 10,000 or 100,000 times larger because dark matter was keeping it from using its energy. Dark matter is what pushes galaxies away from each other and is continually battling it out with the galaxies fighting over space. Dark matter is continually expanding. And yes aliens most likely. (ever thought that they could actually be us from the future because Earth is not naturally made the moon is not naturally made they are both artificial and the evidence is all around us. The dust on the moon is older than the Galaxy itself. the moon never spins off balance it is always insync with the Earths movement)

Well space DOES end----- the latest estimate for the WIDTH of the Universe is 156 billion light years.

Now to the second question----- a reasonable person would NOT believe that ONLY the Earth harbors intelligent life in all that SPACE!

We can only see a sphere that is 13.7 billion lightyears in radius.
The Universe is certainly bigger than that, probably much bigger, and perhaps infinite.
It has been suggested that the number of "Big Bangs" is infinite. Since the number of quantum-mechanically distinguishable histories of the Universe is finite (huge, but finite), this would imply that there are an infinite number of copies of us, as well as an infinite number of possible variations on us that would effectively be aliens.

yes, The universe is not infinite it is just very long. Like the picture 13 billion light years from here there are lots of galaxies close together that means the galaxies are growing there, which means the universe is still pushing out that direction. This also means there are multiple universes they are so far away that we cannot see the parallel universe or even another one.

My opinion is that space only exists if you make it by putting an object in it. Other wise space is just a word like 'space in you're closet. Or no more space in you're car's trunk. etc. If absolute space means void of anything, than it doesn't exist. nothing + nothing = what? Aliens? Who really knows. I don't.

Well scientists knnow that there is a HUGE area of space called our universe. But outside of the universe is entiely unknown. So there probably is never ending space

Hi. An ant walking on a soccer ball would not find any end. The soccer ball is four dimensional (x,y,z,time). If you can imagine the ant on a ball with one more dimension it would look something like a fat bagel with the ant at the center. Add another dimension and the bagel looks like a sphere with a tiny hole (and the ant) at its center. No end.

Space is ever expanding therefore it never ends. It is statiscally obvious that there must be other lifeforms in the universe (are any of them cognizant ?). The other problem is how to contact them. The closest solar system is several light-years away.
