I say the brain is the whole CPU (all the devices inside the casing including hard drive and RAM) and the "main brain" or "master mind" is the processor. our human brain compose of different parts with different functions e.g. the hypothalamus - in charge of our emotional feelings, and one part is incharge of remembering things, just like our hard drives and rams.

Hello...

The brain is the CPU but as in any system, including the human body, the brain can't work or live without the other components of the system.

Then, the minimum system would be Motherboard, CPU, RAM and an storage unit (Pen drive, CD ROM, Hard Disk, Floppy) an input device as the keyboard and an Output device as a monitor.

The minimum body could be the torso, no arms, no legs =)

Greetings

This is an interesting question. I tend to think that the entire computer is the brain and each part represents a part of the brain. Ram is short term memory, Hard Drive is long term memory, etc. To say the CPU is the brain only holds true if your talking about the brain of the guy in the movie Momento or something like that. LOL

I can see why people might say the others but CPU stands for Central Processing Unit and that is the "brains" to me.

The brain is the whole CPU/Hard Drive/RAM/Motherboard combo. This is where all the processes take place as well as where all the information is stored.

Hi. The closest is the CPU. But the brain is MUCH more complex, at least for now.

Lol....it def isn't the hard drive...I'd say it's the processor (CPU). Hence the term Central Processing Unit.
