What do you feel is appropriate punishment for abusive parents that kill their children?

These are all some very good answers here. It makes me feel a little better to see other people feel the same way I do. I am normally quite peaceful..but not after reading about this poor little soul.

It's weird how an animal will care and protect their young better than a human... Some people were not meant to be parents....

I would like to take them out in the city, tie them to a post and start shooting them with .22 (since it will merely cause damage and not death)starting with their feet and legs while working my way upwards. Then, after the legs have been tortured enough, start with the fingers...one at a time. Let them bleed and feel ALL the pain. Then, let the next person step up to the plate and do as they wish. I have no mercy for child abusers and they should get all the pain they have dished out right back on themselves. Don't kill them...let them suffer at the hands of manyFOR the hands that were helpless. Allow infection and time be the killers of these terrible beings.

I know that my answer was awful but I don't think they should be allowed to live without pain.

Oh man, though death would be bittersweet. I would keep them alive in a lonely room filled with pictures of that child only to torture them every day for the rest of their lives. Who the hell do they think they are? Oh God, An eye for an eye is to good for these people. I am sad to see this. Make me the warden at that prison. I will distort there minds in places they never thought were possible. I hate people like that.

Death by lethal injection or electrocution. It doesn't make sense how someone could give someone a life and then take it away with their own hands. These are heartless people who do not deserve to live. Life without parole? No, that would just mean they will live the rest of their days in prison, being fed three times daily, watch tv, write letters, spend time in the yard outdoors without a care in world.

They should be handcuffed to a chair in a room, and have everyone who has lost a child have two minutes alone with them and a broom handle. The punishment should be long and torturous for for doing what those people did. How could you harm something as beautiful as that little girl. No baby deserves what happened to her...but her parents deserve worse.

Honestly that story has made me want to cry every time I read it. It's horrible. Those people are monsters, and even slow torture and humilitation, pain beyond belief, would'nt do anything to make up for what they've done. Obviously they couldn't have cared less that they killed a child, for f^cks sake, except for in the event that they might get caught.
But care that they had snuffed a beautiful baby girl's life?
They didn't care.
I would lock them both in a cage and torture them for years. And that's just the cheery coming attractions.......

I work with abused Kids. It breaks my heart to see hear or read their case files. My professional side says that their parents need help. My angry side says give me an hour with them in the octagon, and spiked gloves, and a baseball bat.

Put them in jail and let them roam around in unsupervised areas. Their fellow prisoners will take care of them in ways we don't even know about. Let them feel the fear and pain someone bigger and angrier can give them.
