For me, yes. Most of my language study has been the romance languages, which have similarities in structure and words.

Finnish has been linked most closely with Hungarian, although it's really a language by itself.

The nice thing about the pronunciation is it's always the same, and every letter in a word is pronounced, so at least you'll be saying things correctly as you learn them.

No Finnish is not difficult, but any language seems to be difficult to the English.

It is said it's the hardest language in the world to learn for a English speaker.
