I actually get most excited about buying my dog Christmas presents because he is the only loyal friend I have. He never hurts my feelings and is always there when I need him. He gets whatever he wants.

I think you should. Perhaps you should treat your pet like they were human, because I think pets secretly think that they are. Pets have pretty evolved emotions and might feel left out if they didn't get a present like everyone else.

I used to when my cats were kittens, now at Christmas they love to play around with the Christmas wrapping and the little stick on decorations for gifts!

When my wee dog was alive, he was the centre of the Christmas parcel fest on Christmas morning. We made sure he had lots of nice we things from Santa. We made sure he had a great Birthday too, with gifts, cards and a special dinner!!! He was our wee baby.....

When we had daschunds, we did because they would've been seriously disappointed if we hadn't. I have two cats now and they don't care so much so I don't. They like batting at the tinsel and ornaments and sleeping under the tree so I guess that is present enough for them!

No we don't and we have two cats... but I do buy the in-law's cat a gift - mainly coz they think he's a human and would feel left out!!!
My cats are loved all year so I'm not bothered about presents for them!
It's all silly really!

No, but my mum gets really offended if I don't buy her dog a gift. So this year I bought it a squeaky toy in an attempt at negatively reinforcing of her unreasonable behaviour.
