Yes! Don't be an irresponsible owner - that license could save lives. Also pick up the decals for your front windows - guests and delivery people have the right to be warned.

No, homeowners won't cover a dangerous wild animal. You need to go to an independent broker, who can put this out on the market for you, and get you some quotes. It's NOT going to be cheap - so if you're looking for a $50 policy, it's not out there. Depending on the animal, it's going to be thousands, or tens of thousands.

It's quite possible in some states that a license to keep Goldfish out of doors would be required. Here's why, they are capable of living in streams, lakes and rivers almost anywhere. It's also difficult to keep them or their eggs or offspring from escaping confinement. In the environment they may out-compete native species for space or nutrients or in some way change their environment. And therefore be regarded as a "dangerous exotic species".
Our state has banned the use of non-native fishes as bait in our lakes and streams for just these reasons.

Yes, you will definitely need one. While goldfish seem docile, they will tear your arm off if they get the opportunity. You may not have any luck obtaining one, I hear the government shys away from issuing these for goldfish (due to their violent nature) but here's the link anyway. Good luck!

ARE YOU JOKING??

Of course you do!
Goldfish can squirt acid up to 50 meters and can jump out of their tanks, grow legs then swallow you whole after poisoning you with two foot fangs!

Depends on how big it is. I put a couple goldfish in my pond as a child & they grew to be *huge*. I absolutely wouldn't swim in there after that. So, yeah, I would get a permit!

Most definately. And watch out for the anal fin....if it pokes you your eyeballs will fall out!! Don't get your face too close to the tank when you are feeding them either........they have been known to bite noses off.....ESPECIALLY BIG NOSES!! Be very careful and take a shield with you when dealing with these creatures!

No, not for gold fish. However, you will need a wild animal license if you purchase "tiger fish".
