the best thing to do is take drama in school, consider going to at least a JC and take more theater.

Unless you are in Los Angeles, have a work permit, have $2,500 ready to buy your union card, a parent avaialable all the time and a child actor agent, there is little if anything open until you are 18 and can work full time in local theater or do regular extra work.

Yu can submit to Disney casting directors but they want to see a professional resume and if they want to see yu, you have to get there and back on your own power.

There are websites with lots of valuable info such as actingcareerstartup and youmustact but in the end both of these are selling books. None the less, there are many useful articles on them, kind of like reading about an acting career.

What teens like yourself need is 1. the support of your parents, 2. to do all the speech and drama stuff in school, especially being in the plays. 3 get a mentor to guide you on your quest to become and actor. These things get you started. If you have the first one in place and you want more info read my profile and contact me at kencosp@aol.com where I provide free mentoring.
