It's based on a book that was inspired by a true story.. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylvia_Likens This is the actual case) If you really get scared easily don't watch.. that's all I'm going to say.. Jack Ketchum held nothing back in the book.. and that is EASILY the most horrific book I've ever read.
I'm still waiting to see this.. while on the festival run it never came anywhere near me.. it came out on DVD on 12/4 but no one up here has it yet..

The movie "The Girl Next Door" was not based in the 1950s, nor is it a scary movie. I think you're thinking of a different movie.

The movie is so disturbing that I stopped watching after the first 60 mins. The depiction of sadistic torture is hard to stomach.

girl next door? trust me it will not have a scary scene whatsoever unless your scared of boobs
