It depends on how you define "enough." If you say, don't stop until you are satisfied, then (for example with food) you will stop when you have reached a moderate amount. However, if you don't stop until there isn't anything left (again with food -- this would be bad) then despite the pleasure, it's overkill.
I would say that there are some things that should be dealt with in moderation and others that you can't ever get "enough" of -- exercise, healthy living, happiness, love -- for example.

Those don't have to be contradictory. If you do stop when you get enough, then you are moderating yourself, since you're not going past the "enough" point to the point of "excess".
Obviously, this all depends on how you define "enough"...
For the sake of argument, let's hope that most people have the sense to know when enough is enough.

That depends on what you're talking about. There is one activity I can't stop until I've had enough. But, I do that activity in moderation, so it won't get " same-old, same-old " .
