i'm 19 and i don't know what to do with my life. i'm failing in school because i don't go to class. i don't go to class because i'm majoring in english and i don't want the degree.

none of my classes are things i feel the need to pass.
i'm going further into dept so i decided i'm going to drop out.

i don't know what do do.

does anyone know a lame website that might be able to help me (for free) with career choices and whatnot?

i'm not good at anything...
but i'm interested in almost everything
so it's hard to figure things out.

like i said,
I'M GOING INTO DEBT.

i'm not wasting anyone's money but my own.
my parents are selfish assholes that will never help me with anything even if it won't take anything away from them.

Your college should have a career counsellor. And there should be a counsellor (maybe the same person) to help you decide what to do about your grades.

Handle the grades first. Find out what your options are. You may be able to take an "incomplete" in your classes to avoid having the failing grades show up on your transcript. There may be some other good options as well. What you _don't_ want is to get those failing grades recorded in stone.

Right now all you're doing is wasting your or your parents' money. Your parents would have to be pretty closed-minded not to support your decision, especially if it is their money going down the drain.

So stop the blood loss first, then decide what you want to do. You should seek help in that decision - the college should have someone to help you and your parents may be willing to work with you.

Maybe you should spend some time working to see what being "out there" is like. You can always go back to school in a couple of years. Maybe the school can do some testing with you to determine where your interrests lie and work with you to readjust your schedule to focus on something that you're intereted in.

It doesn't sound as though course load is too much of an issue for you, but do be wary of how many classes you take at first. Schedule only as many as you are sure that you can do well in. Better to take 5 years and have a 3.5 average than to spend 4 years and come out with a 2.2.

Good luck

i think u should definitely go talk to an advisor at your school. they will be able to point you in the right direction. i dont think you should give up on school. perhaps english isnt the major for you. lots of people switch majors while they're in school and if you have lots of interests it shouldnt be too hard for you to find something different to be passionate about. and don't forget that you will have to take classes that you might not think are important to your major or getting a job in the real world...but everybody has to take these classes so dont worry about it. good luck and im sure you will find something you're passionate about soon! dont give up!

You need to make an appointment with your college advisor. Most colleges have courses to help people figure out what they want to do!
