Since animal skins were used to clothe Adam and Eve then at least one animal died in the garden of Eden. Some scholars says that animals were sacrificed to prevent the immediate death of Adam and Eve. Heb 9:22 Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.

Animals did not die in the Garden of Eden until the fall of Adam and Eve. All were immortal creations of God.

Subsequent to the transgression, immortality turned mortal and blood coarsed the veins of all life, bringing death into the world.

Well, the Bible doesn't *necessarily* say that animals (or people for that matter) were immortal before the fall.

I guess though that it would not be beyond the realm of possibility for a god who can make animals out of nothing to make animal skins out of nothing
