Since your doctor cleared you of a UTI, you know that isn't the cause of the cramps.
Are you dehydrated? That can cause some cramps. So can too much caffeine. It could also be from your diet, or even ovulation. Keep track of your symptoms and go back to the doctor if they don't get better in a week or so, get worse, or you start noticing other symptoms (such as a fever).

Yes it can. Furthermore if you are 40 or over it could diminishing estrogen that is bringing on the infection in the first place. If so, HRT is very likely to sort this out sort this out or indeed you are over the menopause the application of estrogen cream. Im amazed at the number of doctor that you do not make the connection with frequent UTI's and diminishing estrogen causing the vagina walls to thin and render infection. The cream or HRT will re-thicken the walls thus affording the necessary protection which could well sort the problem with recurrent infections in this age group.

UTI can feel like menstrual cramps, I work on Gynae and we have ladies come in who have to take morphine, their pain is so bad.
If you have cramps and no UTI, and are 2 weeks from your period, you could be having ovulation pain. Some women experience this, but don't get it every month. The other possibility is pregnancy, but that's something you can discount quickly if you know the last time you had sex and how good your birth control is.

Yes. I have had UTI's that I haven't been able to tell if they are PMS cramps or not. They feel the same because the bacteria in the infection irritates the tissue around the aria and makes it swollen. Because there is swelling both times it can feel like those tender cramps.

Yes you can, i've got one atm and i had really bad cramps, i though it might be pms or something too, but than it really started to hurt going to wee. If it doesn't hurt when you go to wee than it's highly unlikely to be a UTI- you'll know it hurts like hell going to toilet. If you see blood in you wee or it starts hurting than go to your doctors again. As someone else said i actually get ovulation cramps which happens about 2 weeks before my period which hurt the same as normal period ones. Could be that.

If I have a UTI, I sometimes feel cramped. But you should also be checked for PCOS just incase.
You could just have an early case of PMS. If it worries you then go get a second opinion.

you do no longer would desire to have all the syptoms for it to be a UTI. UTI's are very problem-loose in women. flow to the scientific expert. they'll do an straight forward urine attempt and which will inform you whether it extremely is a UTI or no longer. i think of it is likewise possible to be waiting to purchase an over the counter attempt at your drug save yet i'm uncertain. communicate on your moms and dads.

well, if they tested your urine and found no indication of infection then I doubt you have one. You can have menstrual type cramping up to two weeks prior to your period, especially if you are stressed.
