Well it's hard to class myself as one solid thing, since it differs for me depending on each issue. Overall I guess I'd say around 3-5L.
It's really funny how several people are getting thumbs down in this question for just describing their political affiliation honestly. Shows how hard some people find reading the truth.

Neither of those are good for representing a political spectrum. I don't much like Michael Moore because I think he's a fool, and one who harms the liberal cause more than aids it - and I'm sure there are plenty of conservatives who don't like Anne Coulter. Besides, they define where they are as the opposite of where the perceived other is. They're both extremists with no real policies other than "nazi Republicans/communist Democrats are evil and hate you and America"
After all that I'd say I was a reasonably liberal socialist - which of course is a different thing entirely from a "10L"

The scale here is rated between two crazy people who do not necessarily represent the actual gradient of the political divide in question (and with Ann Coulter I -really- emphasize the crazy).
Additionally, most people are not accurately represented by a liberal to conservative scale, not to mention the ethereal nature of the words.

I tend to be a moderate conservative with strong Libertarian values. I come down with the Democrats on some issues, the Republicans on far more, and a large number with the Libertarians.
But I'd rather have a beer with Anne Coulter than Michael Moore, any day. She is hot!
Vote for Rudy!

Where did you get the idea that conservatives and liberals represent polar opposites in the political spectrum?

Closer to Anne Coulter, but I consider myself a Classical Conservative. Along the same lines as Teddy Roosevelt.

I don't have someone who completely identifies with my political leanings.
I am a moral conservative, but I disagree with the economic policies of both parties. Republicans are catering only to the very rich, and Democrats hand out our money to the very poor. Either way, the middle class is screwed.
However, I think abortion should be the number 1 concern in this country, but the only reasons I can find against homosexual marriage are religious ones, which don't belong in politics.
I think our borders should be secure, and we should have a easily available work visa program. People working in this country are not a problem, but being here illegally is, as a terrorist can come across our border any day.
So try to find me a candidate who is dead set against abortion, thinks anyone who is able to work and doesn't does not deserve money from me, who could care less about gay marriage and who wants to secure the borders while allowing guest workers. It isn't possible.
Oh, and who is also for a tax credit so everyone in America can buy PRIVATE health care.
