As a black man I can say that, Hell Yes, supporters of Obama are only supporting him because he is black. Black people are known to make bonehead decisions, i.e. David Dinkins in NY and OMG Jesse Jackson. You can't expect much intelligence out of many black people because some black people are plain stupid, deaf, dumb and blind. Obama can't beat the Republicans. Obama is a bs artist with a nice smile. As a black man with a viable career and an education Obama can't do a goddamned thing for me. Screw him.
My choice is Hillary Clinton and she will be America's choice too.

Let's hope that some of America's blacks can make a connection with the tribal voting for Robert Mugabe 27 years ago and realize the problems.

People aren't voting for him just because he's Black. On the contrary, Hillary Clinton has more support in the Black Community than he does! That proves they're not voting by race.

I'm sure some "may", however, I doubt the General Public would be. Just like some "may" vote for Ms. Clinton because she's a woman.
People are paying much closer attention to this Presidential race than some that have gone before. We are observing the Candidates for "truth" in their words AND actions!

I think most Blacks believe he will help them more than a white candidate. Not neccesarliy because he is black, but I
think Barack Obama wants it more than his own people, he is like all other candidates a megalomaniac. Lets not forget he is only half Black. I think Oprah Winfrey is supporting him because SHE is Black, even though she has a large White audience.

If they vote for him just because hes a black man, thats makes them a dumbass with very very poor reasoning abilitys. They appeal to novelty, assuming different and cool equal right and better.
It should always be about the issues, and the persons charactor, not novelty and the cool factor.

Obama made a speech that said, "There will be racial riots if I'm not elected". You can't get much more racist than that so a vote for Obama is a vote for racism.

I doubt very much that Obama's supporters are playing a race card. Mr. Obama is a charismatic young man who is intelligent and energetic and appealing to a lot of citizens of all ethnic backgrounds. As a conservative, I will not be voting for any liberal. However, it's easy to see why Barack Obama is popular and certainly a better choice than Hillary Clinton.
