That's kind of a tough question to answer. Many people believe the matches are choreographed, not exactly scripted. But then again, the reason some people don't believe that is because of the different types of matches that they have. Like the ladder match for instance that happened on Monday. The ladders can't be rigged if you are able to be thrown into them and have them bend, then be able to climb up them too.
Although all the other junk they put in, like the backstage stuff and the parts when they talk in the center of the ring, is actually scripted.

every wrestling fan knows its scripted the wrestlers are human make mistakes and get hurt. not every injury is real sometimes a wrestler just needs a breather for few months or is doing a small role or a big role so they script an injury you have to respect these big men. if wrestling wasnt scripted would we really see andre being slammed by hogan or the undertaker doing a suicide dive over the ropes or a majority of mick foleys carrer falling off cages cmon guy get real of course its scripted.

Aww geez, not another one of these questions.
the thing is, there is no clear cut answer to whether it is scripted or not.
now, yes the big moves in matches, the storylines and all that are scripted, but how do you think people earn success in the industry?
do you think that the board of directors randomly chooses people fate like "youre gonna be a hobber, your the champ, jobber, jobber, IC champ"? of course not, the matches that dont pertain to a certain storyline, those are to determine what wrestlers have the capabilities they look for in a main eventer, that determines how successful they will be.
And even in the matches that do have to do with the story, those are mostly improvised, the big moves and the outcome of the match is set, but other than that, the wrestlers, and the commentators make it up as they go along.
hope that clears away some of the fog....

Wow, I can't believe there are actually people that act as though the majority of wrestling fans, don't know that wrestling is scripted/choreographed. Wrestling fans know this, and we find it as a grand form of entertainment and athletism. There are many porridge heads out there, that feel that most wrestling fans don't know any better. That is very insulting, and shows the ignorance of others.

Of course it is. Some spots are improvised, but for the most part the matches are scripted. Unless it's a shoot match, where nothing is scripted.

I don't think of it as scripted. More like choreographed.
It is a male drama. I like that. A soap opera with a testosterone infusion.
