If you can avoid having a c-section then please do, I had one with my daughter and it is very hard to recover from, especially when you are trying to get in and out of bed 20 times a night to feed and change a newborn. You'll spend at least 3 days in the hospital before discharge and about 4-6 weeks recovering. I had some complications with mine including infection and retaining fluid of which I was readmitted to the hospital for both. Vaginal is generally the safest way for mother and child if you don't have any outside complications due to position and timing and many other factors. They say that water birth is the easiest on the child, less traumatic, but they didn't offer that at my hospital. If you do go natural and are not against epidural, then I would have one only because you could be in labor for hours and labor pains, depending on the severity, are not fun. Good luck to you and your new little one!!!
