We're currently TTC and we have been having sex everyday. I keep reading some posts and websites where it says you shouldn't have sex every day to build up my husband's sperm count. Then I hear if you want to get pregnant, have sex all the time. Who do I listen to? Thanks!

if you want to go ahead and have sex every day this time around but if you don't get pregnant then try every other day. you really only need to every other day when trying to conceive.
although there is research being done now to prove that sex every day will improve sperm counts.....who knows what's true!!!! just try not to stress too much about it and be sure to have fun when doing it!

Find a happy medium.

If you know when you ovulate, time it out to where you have sex like as much as you can in that time frame, WHILE also having a bit of a recharge time.

Like if you know you ovulate on the 13th check out how long a "typical" egg is viable, and how long "typical" sperm survive.

Then plan on having sex like every 36 hours or like every other day in that time frame so that you get at least two days around your ovulation time. If that makes sense lol.

Sperm I THINK typically survive 72 hours or so. I BELIEVE if I'm not mistaken that the egg is viable for 24 hours. So if you have sex like two days before you ovulate, and then like the day you ovulate, and maybe the day after incase you miscalculated one would think you stand a pretty good chance of getting pregnant.

But I do think that you are "supposed" to wait a day or so to let the guys numbers recharge a bit.

Good Luck

Having sex everyday is fine as long as there are no sperm count issues with your man. If there is a sperm count problem, the specialist suggest every other day. Good luck!

The best thing to do is have sex every other day. It gives your husband a chance to build up his sperm and makes it better for you to get pregnant. Baby Dust!!!

There will be more sperm in the ejaculate if you have sex only every other day. Just check your cervical mucous or buy an ovulation prediction kit to make sure you are having sex at the right time.
