When I was a child I was actually frightened, sad to say, by the Planet of the Apes. Now as an adult about the only thing I fear are giant roaches that they call "palmetto bugs".
Anyone else have weird childhood or adult fears?

cancer is my boogy man.. every time I have an unexplained pain or bump or blemish, I start thinking "oh no, what if it's cancer?"

As a child I was terrified of transvestites; now nineteen the only thing that frightens me is not passing colloge tests!

When I was a child we lived about 1 block down from a bar. I was terrified of drunk people.

Oh yeah, I hate roaches and snakes. But things like spiders and lizards don't bother me for some reason.
