My husband unplugs everything in our house when it's not in use, including our coffee maker. It gets annoying having to plug it back in everyday, but at least I know it's saving us money on our energy bill.

Same answer as the toaster!! Luckily our coffee maker has an automatic shut off. We used to have one that didn't and sometimes forgot to shut it off when we left for work in the morning! Good thing the pot was never empty those times!!

Yes After I finish in the morning I clean it, dry it, and put it in the cabinet. Got my clean freak status from my mom. LOL

No, but the outlet that it's plugged into has an off switch. That's always shut off after use.

yes. it still has electricity going to it and we had one melt on the counter before. scary to think about now
