I did it by stopping contact altogether and get myself occupied with other activities. And most of all, stop doing things that will 'help' me to know her latest development.
There is no point getting myself hurt and to hope for her comeback. This is because when I realize she true intention, she already gradually made up her mind months ago.
Once her heart is changed, its changed.
We need to move on.

Jason, hey! I totally agree with you! I have had ex's in the past who also made up their mind and I could never take them back because they already felt that way. You can't change what your heart feels you know! Totally agree it's time to move on! You will find a nicer, hotter, and sweeter girl than her! :)

You learn quick. The first time it happened I did not date for 2 years. I hurt miserably and it never did any good at all. I got hurt again and I was able to get back to dating after 1 week. 3 months later I found my wife. I could not ask for a better woman. She is a hot Latina and she sees me for who I really am instead of what faults I have and appreciates everything I do for her. I know what love is now. Not just to love but to be loved. It is all worth it and what you are doing will get you to the right woman.
Date frequently and you will find her. I had a date almost every other week and found 3 great woman who I did not marry and when I found my wife we clicked right off.

Sometimes the healing that needs to be done at the close of a relationship isn't so much getting ove the ex, but getting over the relationship. Hearts may have changed but there are still times when you'll miss the relationship more than her. Also, when a relationship ends there is always something to learn about yourself too before it's truly time to move on. Good luck and I hope your heart heals wholely! :)

I got back with an Ex after 8 years thinking that she had changed. It took about two months of dating for the BS to start again. I kicked her to the curb again. The only good thing is now she no longer has a place in my heart, now I know that it wasn't me. I'm dating a very nice lady that appreciates me and isn't a B****. Fight the urge to go back.

I thought I had. Till he passed from cancer 11/25/07. Then all the feelings came rushing back.
When I have had break ups I try my best to let go of the emotions. I just shut down. When they call I put up a wall or do not answer till I am over them completely.

Yep I was totally over him a long time ago!! I am currently with some one new and I loved the one guys saying the best way to get over someone is to get under someone new! LOL Too funny! And so true! =0)

My ex-wife? My God what a skank she is. She can't wear Odor-Eaters because they keep trying to climb up her legs. And her legs! I've seen less hair on a Wookie! She has marks all over her body from people touching her with 10 foot poles. Did I forget to mention she switched teams? She even grossed out her girlfriend! She said going down on my ex was like trying to open a grilled cheese sandwich! Her teeth are so rotten she could floss with a hamster! And stupid?!!! She sold her car for gas money! She's so ugly, she has to wear a bag on her head just to sneak up on lunch. She's so fat her polo shirt has a real horse on it.

The best way to get over someone, is to maybe occupy your time with someone else. It doesn't go away automatically, but it will help..little by little, you will eventually get over that person. Up till this day, I have alot of love for my ex's. But, I know it wasn't meant for us to be together. Like, my jhs boyfriend, we had puppy love..we were together from 6th grade to about 9th grade in HS...and I still love him to death..he's one of my good friends..but, i know that it stops there.

I've moved on like 90% Im proud of myself cuz I was hooked!!!!!!!! Im glad that he found a girl but that girl happened to be my friend. Im happy for the both of them. Other than that, Im looking for Mr.Right.
