that I can hear it in my home with all doors and windows closed, do I have a right to go over and kick his ***? Or would the cops be on my side if I complained?

(I wasn't serious about kicking his ***, I wouldn't do anything like that - it just makes me so mad to have to listen to that junk!)

I can bet if you POLITELY went over and explained their base is coming through your house they would probably say I'm sorry I didn't know and your problem is solved...

Keep calling the police but don't kick his @ss because he can get you for assault and you would be the one in trouble. Is he playing this late at night if so there is a noise ordinance law, but if it's during the day I'm not sure, try going over there and telling him that you don't mind listening to the music but if he could tone it down some. That he is playing it too loud and you can hear it with the windows and doors shut. And also say you probably wouldn't want this happening to you. Good luck

You would not have the right to kick his ***. Force may only be used in self defense. However, if you can hear the base in your house, most likely if you called the cops they would do something about it.

Call the local police and ask them what their policy is on loud music. Most cities have ordinances against that.

first, ask him to stop, if he doesn't you can call the cops, they'd be on your side. I had a neighbor who would rev his car and his motorcycle at 10 at night, i got sick of it, went out there and told him to stop or i'd knock him out (not the smartest thing to do). he stopped, but if he kept it up, i would've called the cops.

yea, you can't kick his ***, but the cops would help....but don't be a prick and call the cops, first go and ask if they can turn it down, if it happens again then call the cops....most people don't realize that bass sends to travel far

Same thing here...it's so loud the dishes rattle. If I call the police they will know I called....so we just have to grin and bare it unless we want an all out war.
