If it protects the innocents, then by all means. All these people are screaming and crying about the poor people having this done to them. Boo Hoo. Some of these people would turn around and bomb the sh*t out of the people who would rescue them. Sometimes that's what you have to do to get info. Is it not worth water-boarding a terrorist to find out where the next 9-11 is going to happen? Come on people. Inaliable rights don't apply to mass murderers.
PS As if we could "give" them a reason to hate us. They hate us no matter what. Water-boarding is not like chopping off body parts for crying out loud.

This reminds me of an interview Mark David Chapman had with a News show (I forget which one), where he was asked if he thought John Lennon (the man he shot and killed in cold blood) would forgive him, were he alive today.
Chapman replied, "Yes, in my heart, I believe Lennon would forgive me, even if no one else would."
Imagine that, killing the ONE guy who would have forgiven you if only you hadn't killed him. Whotta bummer.
Torture in ANY form doesn't work, it never has. It didn't work during the Spanish Inquisition, it didn't work during the Salem Witch Trials, it didn't work on John McCain when he was a Cong POW.
If you beat someone or deprive someone or starve someone long enough, they will tell you ANYTHING to make it stop. This is not what is considered reliable intelligence.
Has this Administration considered using NON torturous means of obtaining information, such as any one of about 200 so-called "Truth drugs", such as sodium pentothal? You get MUCH better results and you can trust the intel you get from its judicious application.
So-called "Truth Serums" suppress function in the part of the brain which allows a person to lie, and ANY skilled interrogator can immediately tell when even a non-drugged person is lying, there are physical and emotional "tells".
When we use torture, for ANY reason, we have already lost the war.
And do you think the "kids of dead victims" wouldn't rather see JUSTICE (as in capturing Osama bin Laden, the man responsible for almost 3,000 deaths of US citizens?) than torture, carried out in their names?
Why are you so eager to give a whole other generation of potential terrorists a valid reason to hate and attack us AGAIN? Is it because, without "terrorists" you cannot wage a "War on Terror"?

I don't think anyone who wishes to see the Pearly Gates, would or should approve of torturing suspects into confession.
Paranoia and mass hysteria isn't justice.
You know, we could probably save lives if we tortured everyone in America once a week. Getting future criminals to confess to their plans would definitely make everyone safer, and protect all the innocent people in America. I'm sure you wouldn't mind a little water boarding once a week to save innocent Americans, would you?
Bill Clinton also wanted to listen to every bit of communication that occured in the country, just like Bush, so what is that really suppose to matter?
Heck why water board, when we can just tie rocks to their ankles and throw them in a river. If they are innocent, God will save them, if they are terrorists he won't...riiight?!

Okay. It's you now. You're the suspect.
Confess.
Tell me where the bombs are.
TELL ME!
ready to tell me now? No?
How about now, where are the bombs?
Doesn't sound quite so appealing now, does it?

If the tale went greater like this: "3 hundred human beings died quietly and peacefully in a undeniable crash right this moment, and it grew to become into shown that no one felt any discomfort or concern" Then i might contemplate over it being a miracle or no longer. in any different case, no.

Only stupid people support torture. That is a fact. If I tortured any of those morons long enough, they would denounce torture even though they support it. Oh the irony.

It depends. You have to ask yourself if you want the US to become more like the terrorists as a means to fight them. Sure, the more we become like the terrorists, the easier it will be to fight them, and control/protect our country. But freedom has a cost of a loss of control and safety. So some of the dead would probably support becoming more like the terrorists to fight them. But some might say that their death was the cost of freedom, and that the US should not sell out our liberty as a means to defend itself.

OK, I changed my mind. Lets torture prisoners to save lives but I don't want to hear one freaking word from you when one of our troops is captured, tortured, beheaded and then hung from a tree for all the world to see.

So you believe morality is relative?
Personally, I think torture is wrong no matter who is doing it.
(And to answer your question -- dead people don't care about anything. They're dead. And I wouldn't presume to speak for any group so diverse as relatives of those who have died).
