I love that show "Everybody Hates Chris" they did a show about Kwanza and said the man that invented it is in jail for felony assult charges! Is this true? I don't know much about Kwanza, so any info would help.

Kwanza was started by Dr. Maulana Karenga (Ron Everett) in 1967. He spent about 4 years in prison for felony assault and false imprisonment for assaulting and torturing two women.
