True! And if you heard the whole story you would understand it was effective and did save many lives. It has only been used a couple of times on top al Queda operatives. This CIA agent said it was a controlled situation and he does think it may be torture but sometimes you have to do what you have to. These type of people would kill you in an instant and they have no sympathy from me.
Edit- I am also pleased they destroyed the tapes. There are some things the public does not need to see. If the media would stay out of the war our troops could do what they need to and come home. It is a freakin War people!!

Obviously true, unless the premise of the story is false. I don't know what to believe anymore. However, it seems to me that even if this procedure is 'torture' we should use any and all means to protect the American people, here and abroad. John McCain seems to think we are all dolts when he says "it isn't like Jack Bauer out there'. Really? Do tell. Do you suppose that characters like Jack and Mitch Rapp in Vince Flynn's books are so popular because Americans hope, in their guts, that we have people out there like them? I do.

Then why is he now saying waterboarding is torture?
He also said in one of his first interviews that OBL was surprised at how many people were killed in the attacks!SO he(OBL) wasn't expecting the towers to fall either! The attack was only supposed to be a wake up call to America!Which makes me wonder even more what really brought down the towers.........sorry I don't believe the popular mechanics version!

TRUE!
My new rule for what is or isn't torture: If Moe did it to Larry or Curly in the Three Stooges shorts, it couldn't have been all that bad.

Insufficient data. An EX-CIA agent, who is currently a consultant for a Washington DC security company claims he heard second- hand that waterboarding worked once.
Are you people really that utterly braindead? Your are fed garbage and, Surprise, you regurgitate garbage.
Sick puppies.

Depends if you actually believe what a "former CIA" operative tells you..
I haven't a clue; I wasn't there and the tapes are now destroyed. Hard to ascertain the truth with those conditions.

Deplorable...

"Numerous experts have described this technique as torture. Some nations have also criminally prosecuted individuals for performing waterboarding, including the United States..."

True in that it broke the captive. False that it is torture. It is a psychological ploy that makes the captive believe he is drowning when in fact his is not.
