Bleach! I would get everything out of there, that is touching the blood and throw it out, sop up the blood with paper towels, then use soapy water to clean it, THEN come back and spray it down with straight bleach and let it DRY there.

As far as the deer head goes... if you are looking into getting him in some hot water... call your counties game warden and tell them what happened. If he didnt tag the deer, he could be in SERIOUSLY bad trouble.

You probably dont want to throw a deer head into the garbage. I know if you have deer meat in your freezer that does not have a tag number on it, you can get in big trouble and if the trash men see the deer head... well same difference, your in deep sh*t! CALL THE GAME WARDEN!
GOOD LUCK!

I hope your roommate is an EX-roommate at this time... If he's NOT I would suggest disposing of the deer head in his bed and belonging which should be outside at this present time !

To save your fridge... I would dispose of anything that's NOT in an airproof watertight container. Sop up any blood with paper towels/rags whatever... Take the racks out of your fridge and soak in hot bleach water while you are wiping down the inside of the fridge... It doesn't take a lot of bleach to kill bacteria so use sparingly... I would suggest a spray bottle with hot water and about 6 tablespoons of bleach.... Spray and let it stand for a few minutes.... Wipe with damp sponge and rinse with hot water and wipe with paper towels.... Wipe down any condiment bottles/sauces etc.... That should get rid of anything.....

Put a fresh box of baking soda in the fridge and good luck....

Bleach, dude. Lots of bleach-water. You want to disinfect everything. Wash the really icky stuff out, then take hot water, about 1/4 cup bleach, and wash the hell out of the fridge, inside and out. Get the freezer, too. Let it dry, and you're set.

How gross...
