1. Buddhists do not worship the Gods, though they do believe in them. Buddhists believe that the gods are trapped in the cycle of birth and death just as we are, and since Buddhists seek to transcend this cycle, the gods can be of no help to them.

2. Both Buddhists and Hindus believe in multiple lives. Hindus believe that lives are connected by the atman, or soul, of a person. An unchanging essence, like the string connecting the beads on a necklace. Buddhists, however, reject the notion of an unchanging essence or soul. For them, lives are connected to each other through causality, much like a candle lighting another, or cards stacked upon one another.
