I'm 28 weeks pregnant and yesterday I started having some pains and thought it could be a bladder infection. I went to the doctor and they confirmed that it is a type of bladder infection. They also mentioned that I have a lot of blood (cells, not visible) in my urine and they think it's just because of the infection but need to keep an eye out on it. Has anyone else had to deal with this? How do you know if your bladder infection turns into a kidney infection?

No worries, this is common during pregnancy! It takes some time before it turns into a kidney infection, and you've been getting regular check-ups right? If you just started getting the pains, I wouldn't worry too much. Did the doctor prescribe you some medication? usually after 7-10 days it goes away completely. I had this at the end of my first trimester, and you wouldn't believe all the energy you get back afterwards!! You will be fine, and the medicine is not harmful to the baby. Best wishes, and don't worry!

It's been a long time since I was there, but if you drink plenty of cranberry juice it helps. It could be Cran-grape or any other mix of cranberry. It helps to flush the system out and is actually good for you and the baby. Lots of vitamins.
