Its been shown that colors really do affect one's mood. Its psychology. Red makes someone feel bad, purple makes them feel good, and blue and black are mutual and calming.
In my school district, teachers were asked (not required) to grade papers in purple, rather than the typical red, because purple is soothing. Red makes the kid feel bad, especially if they got a bad grade. (This is lame, i think).
It's crazy but there actually is psychology behind it. Who woulda thunk it??
Anoldmic noted that colors do not "dramatically" affect one's mood, but they do nevertheless.

Blue, like for most people I think is very calming. There is nothing like being in the middle of the ocean with all the blue water around you. I have never felt so peaceful in all my life - course that didn't last long once the weather got bad but it was nice while it lasted!!!

there is a few certainty to what you experience. maximum prisons, jails, hospitals and comparable style centers use colour schemes that are mild colors, pastels, whites and stale whites by using fact they are all seen soothing or independent. On the same observe the U.S. army limits the quantity of crimson that could be used on the interior of ships by using fact it has an inclination to make human beings experience offended or passionate neither of that are solid at sea. So sure hues, exceedingly distinctive 1 colour can elicit emotions. white is seen independent crimson=anger/pastime black/gray=depressing mild blue and diminished yellow are seen soothing yet no longer all of us is effected the same via a colour blue is rather captivating to me yet somebody else could locate it makes them unhappy.
