I second your oppinion. The fact that she's NEVER backed another president doesn't say to me that "she sees something special in him" but that she is backing him because he is black.
I also agree with your second statement that not all African Americans are black and not all black people consider themselves african american.

Racism will in consumer-friendly words end as quickly as you furnish up asking stupid and insulting questions like this. Did "the international substitute" mutually as Israel, India, great Britain, or Germany elected women human beings good Ministers? Or mutually as the U. S. elected a Catholic? no one "is going returned and edits historic previous books." that must be cheating. the previous is what it somewhat is. historic previous consistently alterations. If Obama is elected, he's the subsequent information superhighway web site. no longer some thing greater effective. There are eternal team indoors the White homestead who serve "the President" whoever he must be. Why indoors the international ought to those people who're of all races, genders, ethnic backgrounds and political leanings, by surprise resign? you're assuming that spectacular public servants are racists. it incredibly is an insulting assumption. you may desire to get some attitude.

Since Oprah and Obama have similar backgrounds don't you think he is the candidate that she relates to the most? Also because he is black? I'm sure she feels that a black president would be a huge acomplishment for the black community, however I know Oprah is a smart woman and I'm sure that she also agrees with Obama on important issues and THAT, more than anything is why she supports him. You know Clinton is vying for the black and female vote so hard. You could take this the other way if she supported Clinton and say why doesn't Oprah say "I want to see a female president elected". There's more to it than that I'm sure. By the way, I would like to see a female president and a black president sometime in my lifetime. That doesn't mean that I'm voting for Hillary for sure, I'm more likely to support Obama.

I agree that it's pretty obvious she wants a black President. Even Andrew Young said that Obama is not currently qualified, that he does not have the political machinery in place to run a country. I have not negative opinion against Oprah so her motivation for backing Obama does not affect my opinion of her.
As to how to label Obama, he sort of really is an "African American", since his dad is from Africa. But he is also half white so not sure how that affects what you would call him. Not that we need to label everyone.

I think some of what you are saying is true but it is no different then whites wanting a white president. Humans tend to lean towards people that are similar to themselves.
I'm sure Hillary will get votes from women because they might just want a women president but I don't think generalizations have much value other then as observations.
And for the record Obama is not much darker than most of the other candidates. He's is one of the whitest black men around.

No idea. I don't think it's very important do you? She's entitled to support whoever she fancies, for whatever reason she fancies as is everyone else. That's what a democracy is. If others are swayed by her opinion, that's up to them too.
Anything wrong with a black president then? It certainly will happen at some point in the future.

Actions can speak louder than words. She was behind Jackson and Sharpton when they ran for the Presidency. Electing someone based solely on race is not only dangerous but irresponsible as well. Oprah, as well as all other entertainers, should keep their hands out of the political cookie jar.

No I already have a low opinion of her. She is very race centered. She always describes people by race. For example the multiple birth she had on there was such a huge deal b/c they were black. Focusing on race only promotes racism and racial preference.

She is already denying the possibility of people having the intelligence to choose the best candidate by telling people her choice like she recommends the right books to read. She's out of her league and condescending

The Big IF question huh?? interesting...
What IF endorsers said they want a CHRISTIAN president or a PRESIDENT that is a WOMAN or IF IF IF IF..
But guess what... it didn't happen.
The interesting thing is, no one says he voted for him because he's WHITE which leads me to believe you're one racist bastard!
