comments that they make on your questions. i just asked a question a good one at that. but, someone answered and i wanted him to further elaborate on his response. come to find out that he doesn't allow for emails.
i understand that there are some wacko's out there. and some don't want to be bothered with emails from these wacko's but, you don't have to read what your not interested in.
if your going to open your self up to answer a question then you should be understanding that other might want you to elaborate or allow for the person to make a comment on your comment made to the question.
maybe yahoo should rule that if you make a comment then you have to allow for emails for further comment.
i think that they should band the option of not allowing for emails.
just a sugestion.
what do you think?

U should try to find one of his questions or see if any of your contacts or the contacts of your contacts are contacted to him somehow, you know what I mean? Than you see one of his questions and go there and answer it by asking him to elaborate his answer to your questions a little more, or give him the same kinda answer!!!
I would like to give you a star!

For a long time, I closed my email because I was having problems.
I guess, like anything else, you have to respect each persons choice.
If you want an answerer to say more, make a comment on the question. A lot of people go back and read what is added after they answer.
Banning their choice of not having email is taking away their freedom of choice. Think about it... what if others wanted to ban allowing email? That wouldn't be right either.

So what happens when someone doesn't like your answer and then starts bombarding your e-mail with spam or sending you hate mail? I use my e-mail for college classes and I can't have it filled up with junk e-mail or have people I don't know randomly sending me junk or viruses. That is why I don't allow e-mail. I'm sure other people have valid reasons for not allowing e-mail.
Personally, I think the forum allows people to go back and edit their answers enough to allow for comments on answers. I'm not looking to make lifetime friends on here. I just answer questions to either try to help people or for fun. If they banned the not allowing e-mail option, I would not use this site. I don't write hateful answers either. I just want to maintain a certain level of privacy.

Some people don't like to be flooded with emails from the Y/A community. Try finding a question of his and answering but also saying you want to carry on the conversation. Someone did that to me and I opened up my email!!!!

The ruder the answerer the less likely they allow email.
Life's not fair. Don't give them the satisfaction...

I don't allow anyone to email me.
Simply because of people causing problems and sending spam.
It's my email, it's my choice.

you can always add to your questions by editing more details.
it only irritates me if they don't allow emails when they innitate contact with me via email say what they want to and then I have no way to reply back...that's just chicken sh*t in my opinion

what I find even more irritating is when it won't show their question and answer history. What's up with that?
