I would hesitate to say that it's actual romantic love, but you can certainly love someone w/o ever seeing them or knowing them. I lost my grandfather at only one-year-old, so I obviously do not remember him even though he'd known me. However, I always considered my feelings toward him as being love. My grandmother died 16 years before I was born, but I feel the same about her as I do my late grandfather. That all being said, I will assure you that you did/do in fact, love your late grandmother. As far as the "love" you mentioned that you felt for the actress, I am quite sure you could consider that as a type of "love". We all, at some point in our lives, feel immense adoration for someone of celebrity status. I remember when I was an early teen that I absolutely consumed myself w/ Jonathan Knight from the boy-band/pop group New Kids on the Block. Did I feel love for him? I probably did have a sort of love for him and the group. I admired him for his talents (whatever that might have been -- lol), and I absolutely loved their performances. Their are sooo... many different facets of "love" that some people don't realize. The words I relate to love can be applied to friends, family, pets, celebrities, etc., for example, affection, adoration, devotion, care, attraction, friendship, fondness, worship, etc. Anyway, just a little insight for you. Hope it helps!

Admire perhaps, even lust after, but love...I don't really think so. That takes time.
