Why are some women against tomboys..... and by that I mean
that some cultures and some mothers don't want there little girl to play sports, hang around with boys, climb trees, be in the dirt, play video games, etc.
there is nothing WRONG with being a tomboy :(

I don't think as many people mind girls who like boy things. But everyone just about freaks out if a boy wants to do girl stuff like playing with dolls.

Right on! I grew up being the kind of girl that wore a dress all day at school, but I couldn't wait to get home and throw some jeans on and play baseball! And I loved my Matchbox cars as much as my Barbies! And I'm still climbing trees and playing video games - what the heck, it's fun!

Cause some people are old fashioned and think girls are "supposed" to be a certain way. Others think that if they let their little girls act too much like boys, they will turn out to be lesbians. It's all soooooo ridiculous! I was a tomboy growing up and still am on the inside---> even though I dress like a girl now ;-)

nothing wrong with tomboys i love them, i would love to go and hunt with a girl who doesnt biitch about the bugs and so on, im talking about the heterosexual ones not butches

I'm not. I have one tomboy and one girly girl....I don't think I could handle two girly girls! Lots of make-up and glitter messes....

just cultural differences, different ideas on how females behaves in their society. and how they are perceived in their society by other people.
