water is like a conductor but you never hear about a fidh or ashark that like gets struck by lighning...hmmm

More in fresh water than in salt water. Since salt water is a better conductor the voltage gradient will be sufficiently low. However lightening has quite a bit of energy and that energy converted into heat and fish being in close proximity to the source... Hmm I wonder.

no. because if the lighting passes through water (in sea, ocean, river, pond or lake) it will go into earth more faster than it will travel through the fish. thats why if pass electricity from your beach into a sea or an ocean, it wont reach any other place than earth. but if fish is in air with some conductor on its body, then probably yes.
