Go to a Clinique counter and explain to them, they are really helpful and after asking them about a similar skin complaint i had they gave me a great foundation.
Also Mac do some good ones. The mousse foundations don't have moisturising agents in them and are not good for dry skin.
Always use a foundation with a moisturising agent in, most brands offer these but I found Clinique to be the best.

Rimmel Recover is excellent!! Before i started using this i used Maybelline Dream matte mousse and it also made my skin very matte(as hinted in the name) and dry. So i switched to Recover and its great, it has vitamins in it which make really tired skin look radiant and its light reflecting! I love it!

Have you tried Bare Escentuals? They are fabulous.
www.bareescentuals.qvc.com
I didn't really like them at first. They took awhile to apply. Now I whip through application. And the "well-rested" really does brighten eyes and make them look awake.
I also LOVE Cover Girl's Advanced Radiance.
Here's something from another site: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/300163/comparing_age_defying_makeup_foundations.html
Advanced Radiance claims that it " will take five years off the look of your skin." For me, it did; and then some. I honestly hadn't seen a youthful glow like that on my skin for many years.
Made in conjunction with Olay, Cover Girl's Advanced Radiance is a smooth and creamy liquid foundation with a little kick of amino-peptide. For those who may not have heard, amino-peptide is an amazing ingredient that softens the look of lines and wrinkles. Combined these two ingredients soften and cover those little flaws that you don't want the world to see; leaving you with a youthful, radiant appearance.
Advanced Radiance has an SPF sun protection of 10 and is even safe for sensitive skin (like mine). It is oil free and feels like heaven when you put it on, leaving the skin silky smooth and soft.
Advanced Radiance comes in multiple colors, which include ivory, natural ivory, warm beige, buff beige, creamy beige, natural beige, creamy natural, medium light, soft honey, classic tan, tawny, toasted almond, and soft sable.
The foundation comes in an easy to use pump bottle that holds one fluid ounce. It currently retails for $7.99 and can be purchased at most stores that carry makeup.
I really love this makeup. So far, it is by far my favorite current beauty product. However, I'm still looking for something that works exactly like this one but that you can't "see" on the skin. This one, however, is pretty close to perfection at four out of five stars.
Hope this helps.

Try L'oreals new mineral make up, it's a powder that covers really well but looks natural, and it doesn't look matte or anything, and best of all, there's no preservatives so very good for your skin! You could test it out in the shops

Try boots No 7 brands
The tinted moisturizer gives good coverage without being cakey or matte and gives a really nice sheen
You can use it with benefit high beam to give you a glow.
They also do a light reflecting foundation which might be good to try

Try mineral makeup, it's the best. I don't much care for Bare Essectials, I like Jane Iredale. But you can buy Physicians Formula, Neutragena, & Cover Girl all make some you can buy at drugstores. Good luck. 2D

Before 6 months ago, I would have said Clinique, but after trying Bare Minerals, I will never go back. It is the lightest, longest lasting, best feeling makeup I have ever worn!

Try Mac- it's made like $$$ stuff but it's a little cheaper then the other brands.
Rimmel is cheap and can break out your skin.
Stay away from Cover Girl and cheap makeup that is made in China or other 3rd world countries. They have been having lead recalls on makeup!! Mac is made in Italy.
