Hope this is the correct forum. Here is my dilemma. I got a new desk. And my key board to the tower cable is short. Cannot get to the center of the desk. So, my question, do they sell adapters similar to extension cords such as we use for electricity in the house. I am serious in this question

Want to move the keyboard for my conveience.

I would really appreciate your help on this question.

Should be able to purchase one at any decent computer store. Ive included a link below. Please note im just assuming your using a PS/2 keyboard

Yes, what you want is a PS/2 keyboard extension cable...

You may have good luck at a small mom&pop computer outlet store....bigger stores will just try to sell you on a new wireless keyboard system which may or may not be out of your budget but still more then a simple extension....

look around for it you might see it as a keyboard extension cable, or might be a mouse extension cable

There are some available, not many people stock them now. Alternatively you could get a USB keyboard and extensions for USB are easy to buy. Otherwise a wireless keyboard.

yes.. depends on your keyboard connection now of course.. there are a couple types...

small round connector (a PS/2 extension)

rectangle (USB extention)

doubt anyone has an AT keyboard anymore, but if it's reall really old, it might

hi, if u have any errors interior the Port's that must be shown interior the 1st reveal screen it somewhat is Cofiguration reveal screen.. if won't be able to locate any errors interior the configuration reveal screen u could put in the keyboard, Mouse setup, if u locate the errors u verify the pin and the mum board connection to that.

yes you can easily buy a USB Extension Lead to make it easier to move your keyboard.

if that is the case. you can go for a bluetooth enabled keyboard..yes, it is unwired..you can move around wid it..i ve got one..its cool...not too expensive..
