My brother has been gay all his life and this is MY belief....
What you all do in your bed in your house is YOUR business.
It is just another way for the church to control the masses. You think God who knows you would be gay has anything to say about it?....after all HE is the one who created you.
God loves you unconditionally, that means without conditions.
To hell with organized religion, it's there own fear of the unknown that keeps them in bondage.

1. Sheople need rules and the bible worked for the rulers and the rulee’s, they got their structure. The Torah and Koran work the same in other countries other societies.
2. Free will is a misconception of religious structuring. Free will only pertains to the christian religion and its followers. It is the choice of following god’s laws or mans laws. That is what the freedom is about, their god said I will let you live however you like, worship me or worship yourself and the earthly offerings but I will have you know that the fire and brimstone was made for the self involved. But make your choice, it is free will. I guess that makes us not god’s slaves. I guess.
3. Part A: Gay marriage is a threat to christians because they can only go by the rules of the church otherwise they would not know what to think or do, and the churches want as many members on their side for some crazy holy war on some mental plane (my church is bigger than your church I believe) thus have lots of babies and gays cannot have babies in the old fashioned sort of sense. Thus get straight and impregnate.
3. Part B: Our founding fathers, mothers, families, heroes and ancestors came here to fight oppression and taxation and religious persecution but they were still religious. Religion had a big role in the lives of the first Americans and citizens that established our colonies. Although there is and should always be a separation of church and state in our constitution the men who signed it were all many things but definitely religiously led in almost all of their hearts. And yes, it slaps these great men in our history squarely in the face, we can only be thankful they are not alive to see the monster we have turned their people ran government has become.
p.s. good question and as it happens I am an atheist

Well, the Torah is the same thing as the first 5 books of hte Old Testament in the Bible so the teachings about homosexuality are identical. The Koran, while somewhat different, is based on the same set of beliefs and shares many common elements (including names of people involved) as the Bible. Again, you get the same teachings on homosexuality, beasitality and fornication. So it's not just the Bible that teaches it is wrong. It's a pretty basic and age old teaching among all the ancient writings.
But yes, while God gives us commandments to live by, He also gives us free will to choose our actions. Just like the laws of the land. The laws are there and it is our choice as citizens to obey them or not. If we choose to break the laws, then we pay the consequences with fines, jail time, or community service. In religious teachings, breaking God's laws can have eternal consequences.
As for your least question, I really don't know how to answer that. The basic tenant of marriage has been one man and one woman. It is a long held and deeply engrained belief among people of many many faiths.

Can't speak to the first question, but as for two and three...
2. Free will doesn't mean there aren't rules or consequences. It means that you can do what you choose. In America, we call that no prior restraint. You have free will to cross the street--God won't stop you. The consequence, either getting to the other side or being hit by a car on your way, isn't determined either, but there will be a consequence. Same thing for murder or pouring oil into someone's well or watering your grass in drought restrictions.
3. How is forbidding gay marriage violating freedom of religion? No religion requires or even endorses it. The rest of your argument may be valid, but you hurt yourself by not proof-reading your post and by using sloppy thinking.

Society has and always will dictate what is
right and wrong. Every person was given a
brain and they can draw their own opinions.
I personally do not care who gets married
to who because I am not the maker and I
have no judgement rights, I'll leave that up
to Him. I chose to marry a woman as I would
rather be with a woman the rest of my life and
to each his or her own.

Well for your first question God created all things both male and female. He said to be fruitfull and multiply. Adams was made for Eve not Steve! Sure he gave us all free will but he also gave us the common since to know right from wrong. I don't care what country you are from you should do what the Lord wants you to do. He says to be liken unto him. Which means to try to be like him. This nation was established under God not God under us.

That funny dude. The Koran is the book of the Muslim faith. They would put you to death for homosexuality. Gays have it pretty good here compared to most of the world.

Marriage is not a sacred institution or the divorce rate wouldn't be so high.
