Lately my co-workers have stopped saying "bless you" when I sneeze. It pisses me off too. I feel like they're jealous of me because I'm having fun on YA. I say "bless you" to them, yet they don't say it to me anymore. Bastards.

No, people don't say "Bless you" to me when I sneeze.

I lived in the states for about 10 years, when I was there I know that it was like a reflex to say bless you to someone after they sneezed (at school, work, and even in the store on occasion). In class, someone would sneeze and you would interrupt to say bless you if the teacher was talking.

Since I moved to Canada (Manitoba) people don't say it! Only the rare time someone does but its like a sin to say it. I can't say it anymore unless I know the person closely or if their family.

I'm not sure if all of Canada is like that but you would think the US would be more "politically correct" about saying bless you (you might piss an atheist off or something) but in Canada?? People say Merry Christmas to each other at the store! Why can't they say Bless you?! I dunno...I kinda miss that about the states...I think its polite. Your office mates need to grow up if their jealous of you. Go sneeze on all of them for revenge! =D

Yes in my office they do say bless you when someone sneezes. However, when I travel over to France this is not a social norm to do. I was on a bus and someone sneezed and no one said anything or no one even flinched. It was really wierd but I guess every country has their own thing.

No, they just laugh! Why it's funny is beyond me but they just laugh! I, too, say "bless you" but, you are right, most people don't take the time to hand one out.

I have an idea...sneeze ON THEM and see what they say! I bet you get some interesting responses with that move...hahaha. After they clean themselves off, tell them that if they had said "bless you", you would have covered your mouth. Something says they will tell you next time! LOL

i attempt to assert "bless you" each and every time I hear somebody around the place of work sneeze -- yet i don't hassle if somebody says it till now me (we don't prefer a refrain of "bless yous." additionally, I sneeze so often (there's a TON of airborne dirt and dust trapped in my dice partitions, and that i'm allergic) that i've got instructed my co-workers that they don't ought to assert "bless you" to me. it would in simple terms be too lots artwork! the two way, i would not concern approximately it too lots. in case you're saying it and there is no reaction -- it may desire to be that they are too lots working to have even fairly observed which you stated something in any respect. And, yeah, a number of them could desire to be rude. yet you will discover that everywhere.

they ARE jealous.. all the grinning and giggling coming from your desk is causing them deep pangs of envy...

: )

people in my office don't really say bless you.. not sure why.. maybe since my corner is cublicled off and they can't SEE me, they can only HEAR me they think it excuses them from having manners and acknowledging my sneezes.. I can't call it.. There is ONE very polite, well-mannered old jamaican man, that, if in earshot of my sneeze, does indeed say Bless You.
