My mom is very generous and financially secure. If she wants it, she buys it. I just returned from a trip to Europe, which she paid for, because she wanted to share the experience with me. I want to show my appreciation (of course I thanked her) and give her something special. She's a photographer so she has plenty of pictures of our trip, etc. Any ideas?

Make a room screen...or a table screen [same thing as the room screen but on a much smaller scale].

This is designed on the old oriental sectioned screens. They make variations of them available at home improvement stores and you can finish them yourself. Then take copies of the photos and some labels from the countries you visited and print them out on your computer and decoupage them onto the screen. [directions are available on-line] Finish it off with a nice border of gilt paint or whatever color enhances your theme. This is a variation on the old steamer travel trunks people used to travel with.

You can finish the other side of the screen in a plain paint so it can be used reversibly.

I believe the best gift for mother would be something from your heart, something you make with your hands. Whatever it may be a poem, a short story, a painting, or a number of other things it will show her your true Love by the thought and time your put into the gift.

Hope this helps and Merry Christmas

Why not do something personal for her like run an errand or take her to lunch or clean her house or cook her a big brunch and if you have talent share that with her, We Mom's like that sort of things.

make a scrapbook of your trip or put pictures from it onto a homemade memory board. that would be really creative and a thoughtful gift for a mom who has everything. it'll show her you enjoyed and appreciated the trip and i'm sure she'd love it.

Joshuath pretty much covers the type of thing for someone that has everything -- A part of yourself.
