Posted all my Christmas cards on Thursday last week. Even posted local ones as I haven't got time to deliver them and it's always nice to get them in the post isn't it?
Today, Wednesday nearly one week later, some people still haven't got them!

Zara M, the point I am making is that I have paid for a 1st class service which I am not getting. If they can't deliver a first class service at this time of year then they shouldn't sell first class stamps!!

Well that's just typical of our wonderful postal system in this country.

This is why Royal Mail recomend posting so early - if you could see the amount of mail going through the system you would understand why there are delays, post boxes that are usually emptied twice a day are getting emptied 4 times a day and they are still overflowing each time - mail volume goes up by about 4 times in the 3 weeks before Christmas and it is not possible to employ 4 times as many staff to cope unfortunately, so we are all trying our best and working double shifts to try and get your mail out =0)

Hope they all get delivered on time. We (at the Post Office) are really swamped but are trying our best to give you (our customers) 1st class service. Merry Christmas!!

I think the post is running really slow, I've been waiting for something that was meant to arrive on Monday morning and still hasn't. As long as your cards arrive before Xmas it's not too bad is it?

Last December it took 2 weeks for my landlord to get my rent check. Thank God the postmark proved I mailed it on time!
