One where the pupils can read,write and have some number skills,when they move up to secondary school.
I expect that it would be asking too much for a general knowledge of History and Geograpy to be part of their
work.
Learning to respect themselves as well as others wouldn't hurt,either.

Schools should be safe, innovative and interested in new teaching methods, willing to be more receptive to dealing with students as individuals, they need up to date books and equipment, they should be interested in getting the parents and the community involved, they should encourage learning and welcome diversity, teachers should be paid decently and encouraged to further their education, they should be a place that the children look forward to go to every day.

a good school is one with strict rules on violence and bullying.
