The Secret is - you really CAN have everything your heart desires but you need to really believe it. It's our own habitual thinking that stops things from happening as they could and should. You need to envision your life exactly as you want it as if it has already happened and hold that vision steady. Believe it! The REAL secret of the book is many, many people have known this for many, many years but it doesn't get passed on because people don't believe anything can be this simple.

The secret is that it's not actually a secret, and has the same premise as every single other self-help book. Which is: have goals, and if you believe in yourself you will achieve them. Common sense really.

That is the secret, make general, unsubstantiated statements and let people find their own meaning in it. Basically "the secret" is just a collection of "teachings" from various similar scams that came before it.
The moral: ignore it, it is a hoax.

There is no secret, other than how to make others rich by buying their materials......it is a simple fact that if you think positive thoughts, then positive things will happen in your life, while if you think negative thoughts, more likely negative things will surround you.....if you think you won't succeed, you won't.....if you think you are ugly, you physically look and feel uglier, if you think positively and set small positive goals for yourself, and be happy with yourself, you are more likely to draw positive people and situations towards yourself. You don't need a book to tell you that!!
